Well the bill for the hospital stay (and surgery) finally arrived.

Anyone care to guess at the total?

I have to say that I love health insurance right now.

    I’d guess around 50-75K in charges but what the hospital actually
    got paid is probably a third to half of that amount.

    The charges are more than the 50-75K mentioned.

    I would estimate 125K. Who in the world doesn’t believe we need health care reform?

    They must have their charges set pretty high. But I bet your out of pocket
    was neglible.

    I have to scan the bill but August 24 (operating room charges) alone was 84K. I just have to pay a hospital copay of $250.

    pretty high but you had a long surgery. thank goodness for insurance

    I went to a doctor that saw me for 5 minutes and did absolutely nothing and the bill was $375.00 so I am going to go with $125,000

    Can’t guess b/c I already saw the answer but that’s awesome your co-pay was only $250! I had to pay almost double that just to have Brynn.
