Good article on October…

Brendan pointed me to this article.

I don’t like pink and have a similar view to that of Kramer’s on the all the various ribbon things.

  1. betty says:

The pink ribbons don’t bother me as much as the breast cancer advocates who
stand up and speak as if they are representing all breast cancer cancer survivors
when they spout views and emotions about the disease, which may be valid in
their own experience and they are certainly free to express their own opinions
but I hate it when they make universal statements-especially when my own
experience and feelings are in direct opposition. I almost walked out of a department
head meeting once when one of those advocates was speaking.

  2. Elizabeth says:

I don’t like ribbons in general. Everything has a ribbon which renders these things meaningless. I also don’t like pink.

  3. Stinky says:

Ummm…just so you know…the quilt Kristin is making for you is pink. I am pretty sure that I can put a stop to any pink ribbons on it though. Regardless, it is made with love and I know you’ll live it anyway : )

  4. Elizabeth says:

Pinks things given from the heart = ok. Pink things thrown in your face for marketing = not ok.

  5. Stinky says:

I meant “love” it not “live” it
