Home inspection

Apparently to adopt a rescue dog, you need to have a home inspection along with filling out a loooong application complete with Vet contact into. Um, we don’t have a dog yet how can we have a vet?
I hope they give us enough notice to clean the place up.

“Rescues” can be big PITAs. From what I’ve read they are super particular. Think NYC co-op board (OK I’m exaggerating). Any good shelters up there, like NSAL? They are easier . . .

  2. Elizabeth says:

We haven’t found a non-rescue shelter like NSAL.

  3. Kristin says:

any friends with a vet reference? good luck. it will be worth it!!

  4. Toffee says:

The Animal rescue league is probably more like your NSAL; same with MSPCA Angell…no home visits fo’ shizzle.

  5. Elizabeth says:

I already feel self conscious about our wine rack.

  6. Teresa says:

    Sounds like DSS.

  7. Elizabeth says:

I know. I feel like they are going to judge everything. We have a pantry with no door and already I am like “we need to get a gate!!!”

  8. Kim says:

You should put out a bunch of dog pictures. And buy an issue of Dog Fancy and display it prominently on the coffee table.

  9. Papa Dan says:

A Dog !!!!! You guys will never be able to replace Otis.

  10. Elizabeth says:

We know and we are not trying to…

  11. Papa Dan says:

Make sure it’s a dog that will get along with Lucy, we don’t allow dog fights in this house.

  12. Papa Dan says:

    and Montgomery also

  13. Elizabeth says:

That would be awesome! But maybe strange.

  14. Elizabeth says:

As long as Lucy stays out of the dog’s room, they should be fine.

  15. Elizabeth says:

The dog will probably take Brendan’s lead on what think and how to handle the cat.
